This Project

Allianz Centre at 2 Market Street is a 24-level, A-grade building with an adjoining seven level forecourt building that is conveniently located among the wealth of amenities and transport links in the western corridor of Sydney CBD.  

The building was a refurbishment of a prominent A-grade office tower complex comprising over 40,000m2 of space across two interconnected buildings with a central atrium.

Scope

Meld's engagement on this project as to develop a 'Smart Building Technology Masterplan' and technology cost planning that integrated with the proposed designs for the refurbishment of the building.

The proposed technologies were selected to benefit a range of stakeholders including Tenants and Visitors, Facilities Managers, Building Managers and Sustainability Managers. Meld provided specialist consulting advice on industry best practice technology considerations for Smart Building Design.

Key areas for technology inclusions were:

  • Building Lobby;
  • End of Trip Facilities;
  • Bike Facilities;
  • Lift;
  • Access Control; and
  • Smart Lighting upgrades.

Meld also provided a review of current Building Services Infrastructure Systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, communications and telecommunications) in comparison to industry best practice Smart Building Design considerations.
